GEORGE MUKHARI COVID HOSPITAL

The George Mukhari COVID-19 Hospital, an extension of the Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Ga-Rankuwa, Pretoria, was constructed as part of the South African government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The hospital was built using Alternative Building Technologies (ABT), which allowed for rapid construction. These structures were specifically designed to alleviate pressure on existing hospitals by providing additional capacity for COVID-19 patients.
